Ms. Kelly began dancing at 5 years old at the June Claire Dance Center where she studied Tap, Ballet, and Jazz. Under the training of Rochelle Martin, at Dance Fever Performing Arts, she continued training in Ballet and also trained in Pointe, Modern, and Contemporary.
Ms. Kelly performed in the Ballet, “Cinderella” and “Peter Pan”. She attended college at Suffolk Community College where she earned an Associates of Arts in Liberal Arts with a minor in Dance, and St. Joseph’s College where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Child Study. She choreographed a “Linus and Lucy Remix”, “Grace Kelly”, “Mack the Knife”, “Zoot Suit Riot”, “Blue”, “Move Along” including many other numbers while attending St. Joseph’s. She also continued to study Tap, Jazz, Modern, Ballet, and Musical Theatre.
Ms. Kelly is a teacher at Mill Creek Elementary School and hopes to start a dance club for all kids to be able to express themselves through music, movement, and dance. She’s new to Ignyte this year and we’re eager for her to begin, please make her feel welcome!
